Emory Hillel is proud to present our special guest, Yavilah McCoy. Yavilah is an educator, activist, and spiritual leader who has worked extensively within multi-faith communities to increase racial justice and expand equity and inclusion. Not only is she the CEO of the international diversity consulting group, VISIONS Inc., a certified trainer for the A World of Difference Institute, the National Coalition Building Institute, and the National Center for Community and Justice, Yavilah was voted one of “16 Faith Leaders to Watch” by the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C.
In addition to sharing her personal story, Yavilah will address the challenges of diversity and inclusion on college campuses, opportunities that students can engage in to become stronger advocates of social justice, and ways in which students across multi-faith groups can connect, share stories, and work to create an activated, personally, culturally, and politically relevant campus movement for racial Justice across the US.
